Fresh from selling out their highly anticipated show at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre, Joey Valence & Brae are excited to announce a special pop-up performance on Friday, 17 April at Waves, Wollongong. Just four weeks out from the kick-off of their Australian and New Zealand tour, tickets for this one-night-only 

In the 1990s, Waves Wollongong was a regular stop for international artists – a room full of sweat and possibility, where acts like Blink-182, Public Enemy and The Black Keys built their legend. In 2026, Joey Valence & Brae step into that lineage, bringing a night of joyful chaos and unfiltered energy to one of NSW’s most vibrant cultural communities.

Making their Australian and Aotearoa debut in February 2025 to capacity crowds at Laneway Festival, as well as sold-out shows in Sydney and Melbourne, Joey Valence & Brae have built a global following as much on instinct as intention – drawing a line between boom-bap, punk urgency and Gen Z maximalism, Their music moves fast. It’s playful, loud, immediate.

HYPERYOUTH (afterparty), like its predecessors NO HANDS and PUNK TACTICS, was written and performed entirely by Joey Valence & Brae and produced, mixed and mastered by Valence in his State College, Pennsylvania bedroom studio. An evolution in themes and maturity, HYPERYOUTH is quintessentially JVB, delivering unapparelled energy, expertly crafted chaos and never-ending hooks. With a live experience that requires only that you dance, sweat and make a friend (and demands that you be your-f*#$ing-self), JVB has spawned a perfectly diverse community, eager to turn every JVB show into a party.
